Is Attitude Everything?
February 25, 2009 on 3:51 am | In Attitude, Motivational | No Comments
While I was listening to the President’s speech tonight, I realized how important it is to have a positive attitude about our country’s situation at this time. Our attitude is so important in how we view ourselves, others, and life situations.
I’ve heard people say “things are going to get worse” and I’ve heard people say “we will overcome” these problems.
What kind of attitude do you have? Is it one of optimism or pessimism?
Do you see opportunity in whatever situation you are in or do you see obstacles around every corner?
I firmly believe that having a positive attitude gives us a significant advantage. Being positive helps us to:
ü Focus on “can” instead of “can’t”
ü See possibilities instead of limitations
ü Aim for success and fulfillment
Remember your attitude is a choice that you make daily. Your quality of life and the impact you make in the world depends on that choice.
You can find on the outside only what you possess on the inside.

3 Tips to Simplify Your Life
January 25, 2009 on 8:47 pm | In Motivational | 1 CommentHello everyone,
While standing in the line at the grocery store I’ve noticed several articles about getting organized or getting in shape as goals for 2009. I agree with these goals but that seems to be the “2” main goals every year. I don’t know about you but I am tired of these goals.
Well, what else is there if it is not about our size or being organized? I began to look at my life and see what was really taking up most of my time and what could I do to make my life better. A light bulb came on immediately and I decided my new goal is to “SIMPLIFY” my life! I am trying to do too many things at once to improve my life and it is not working.
I wonder if anyone else is feeling this way. Too many articles tell us how to become more efficient and how to get more done in a day—I say let’s take control of our own life and decide for ourselves what is most important to get done and let the other things (that don’t have to be done) wait.
Why do we feel we have to be indispensable?
The 3 tips I would like to share with you in simplifying your life are:
Switch gears—begin changing your mind frame to “it’s ok” if I don’t get it done today.
Find your balance—mix pleasure with work. Don’t feel guilty that someone else does more.
Choose to choose less—stop feeling obligated –take time for yourself-smell the roses.
Decide today to become the person you desire and if it is to do less with your life—more power to you!
